How much does an ice sculpture cost?
2
The cost of an ice sculpture depends on the size, design, and delivery location.
Most standard single-block ice sculptures are approximately 40–45 inches tall or wide by about 22 inches wide and start around $675. These are a great option for weddings, corporate events, logos, monograms, anniversaries, birthdays, product displays, and branded event pieces.
Our smaller mini ice sculptures are approximately 24 inches tall by 12 inches wide and start at $375. Mini ice luges and smaller custom designs are popular for birthdays, private parties, bar displays, brand activations, and smaller event spaces.
Larger ice sculptures, double-block designs, ice bars, seafood displays, bottle displays, multi-piece sculptures, and highly detailed custom designs are quoted based on the final concept.
A typical invoice will include:
The ice sculpture
Delivery and setup fee based on event location
Display equipment fee
(Optional) Breakdown/Strike and Removal Fee
What is the display equipment fee?
3
The display equipment fee covers the materials used to safely and professionally present the ice sculpture. This may include the display tray, insulated riser, LED up lighting, drain line, bucket, and related setup materials.
This equipment is yours to keep for future events
What is the delivery fee?
4
The delivery fee includes sending one of our staff members to your event location to safely transport, deliver, and set up the ice sculpture display.
For all events, our team arrives approximately 1.5 hours before the event start time so the sculpture can be properly installed, displayed, and ready before guests arrive. This includes placing the sculpture, setting up the display tray, riser, lighting, drainage system, and making sure the ice display is clean, stable, and show-ready.
Delivery fees vary based on the event location, travel distance, timing, venue access, and the size or complexity of the sculpture or ice display.
On average, this fee can be between $75 and $200.
What is the breakdown/strike and removal fee?
5
Breakdown / strike and removal service is not automatically included with standard ice sculpture orders. For most events, the sculpture is left to melt naturally into the provided display tray and drainage setup. There are venues that will not allow this and will require you to dispose of it once the event has concluded.
If you would like our team to return after the event to remove the sculpture and display equipment, we can add this as an optional service. The strike/removal fee is typically billed at the same rate as the delivery fee, since it requires sending our staff back to the event location for a second trip.
Strike service is commonly requested for large ice bars, seafood displays, multi-block sculptures, hotel events, venue-required removals, or events where the client prefers a full-service cleanup.

Do you provide a design or rendering before sculpting?
7
Yes. For All ice sculptures, we provide a design proof or rendering for approval before production begins.
We do not begin sculpting until the client has approved the design by email, phone, or text. Because every custom ice sculpture is made to order, the design approval step helps confirm the overall shape, layout, logo placement, text, artwork, and event details before we begin production.
How long does an ice sculpture last?
8
Inside an air-conditioned room, most ice sculptures last approximately 5–7 hours. The sculpture usually keeps strong detail for the first 3–4 hours, depending on room temperature, airflow, lighting, and guest interaction.
For best results, we recommend placing the sculpture indoors, away from direct sunlight, heaters, fireplaces, exterior doors, strong airflow, and crowded walkways.
Can an ice sculpture be placed outside?
9
Yes, but outdoor placement requires extra care. Ice sculptures must be placed in full shade under a covered patio, umbrella, tent, or similar protection.
Even in shade, warm temperatures, direct sunlight, and wind will increase the melting rate. Wind can melt ice surprisingly fast because it continuously moves warm air across the surface of the sculpture.
For outdoor events, we strongly recommend placing the sculpture in a shaded, protected area and scheduling setup as close to guest arrival or display time as possible.
How long does a wedding ice sculpture last?
10
Inside an air-conditioned room, most wedding ice sculptures last approximately 5–7 hours. However, the sharpest detail is usually seen during the first 3–4 hours, depending on the room temperature, airflow, lighting, and how close guests are interacting with the display.
For weddings, timing is especially important. We are often given the ceremony start time as the event start time, but guests may not actually view the sculpture until cocktail hour or the reception several hours later. Since the ice begins slowly melting as soon as it is set up, an early setup can reduce the crisp detail and overall presentation by the time guests see it.
For the best presentation, we strongly recommend scheduling delivery and setup as close as possible to the time guests will actually view the sculpture. For ice luges, we recommend timing setup as close to cocktail hour or bar service as possible so the luge looks its best and performs well during use.
How much table space do I need for an ice sculpture?
11
The table size depends on the sculpture size and tray footprint.
For most single-block ice sculptures, the display tray is approximately 24 inches long by 18 inches deep. We generally recommend a sturdy rectangular table that is at least 3 to 4 feet long.
For double-block or larger designs, we may use longer trays measuring approximately 45 inches long by 25 inches deep. Larger seafood displays, ice bars, bottle displays, and multi-block sculptures may require custom table or venue planning.
The table should be sturdy, level, and able to safely support the weight of the sculpture, tray, riser, and melting water.

Do you provide the table and linens?
14
No. Chisel-It Ice Sculptures provides the ice sculpture, display tray, riser, drainage equipment, and lighting when applicable.
The client, venue, caterer, or event planner is responsible for providing the table, linens, décor, florals, signage, and any surrounding display elements.
Do guests or staff need to maintain the ice sculpture during the event?
15
Very little maintenance is required once the sculpture is set up.
The main thing to monitor is the drain bucket. We recommend having venue staff, catering staff, or an event contact check the bucket periodically and empty it if needed to prevent overflow.
Guests should not touch, lean on, bump, or attempt to move the ice sculpture. Once the sculpture is placed, it should stay in position. Moving the sculpture after setup can cause damage, tipping, breakage, or injury.
Can we move the ice sculpture after it has been set up?
16
Once the sculpture has been set in place, it should not be moved.
Ice sculptures are heavy, fragile, and carefully Placed in their display equipment. Moving the sculpture after setup can cause cracking, tipping, breakage, or damage to the display. Chisel-It Ice Sculptures is not responsible for damage caused by guest, venue, or staff interference after setup is complete.
Can we use an ice luge for drinks?
17
Yes. Custom ice luges are popular for weddings, birthday parties, corporate events, holiday parties, brand activations, and bar displays.
An ice luge can be designed with a logo, initials, theme, bottle shape, sports logo, or custom artwork. Depending on the design, the luge may use clear tubing through the ice or a carved channel for pouring drinks.
For safety and cleanliness, we recommend having venue staff, bar staff, or an experienced person operate the ice luge during the event.

20
Yes, pickup may be available for certain sculptures, especially smaller designs, mini sculptures, and some single-block sculptures.
